Method 1: A Soft Tape Measure
If you have a fabric tape measure — the kind used for sewing — this is the fastest way to get an accurate number. Wrap it around your wrist just below the wrist bone, where you'd naturally wear a bracelet or watch. Keep it snug enough that it doesn't slide off, but not so tight it's pinching. Read the measurement in centimetres, and that's your base wrist size.
Method 2: A Strip of Paper and a Ruler
No tape measure at home? A strip of paper, a piece of string, or even a shoelace works just as well. Wrap it around your wrist the same way, mark the point where it overlaps, then lay it flat against a ruler to read the length. It takes an extra thirty seconds compared to a tape measure, but the result is just as accurate.
Reading the Number: Snug, Comfortable or Loose?
Once you have your base wrist measurement, decide how you like a bracelet to sit:
- Snug fit: add around 1cm to your wrist measurement.
- Comfortable, everyday fit: add 1.5–2cm — this is what most of our customers choose.
- Loose, layered fit: add 2.5cm or more, especially if you like stacking multiple bracelets together.
Why Bella Flor Bracelets Are Forgiving on Fit
Most of our cord bracelets use an adjustable sliding knot rather than a fixed-length clasp, so you're not locked into one exact size the way you would be with a solid bangle. That said, getting your starting measurement right still matters — it determines how much room the sliding knot has to work with, and whether the metallic end caps sit where you want them.
Once you have your number, our bracelet size calculator will convert it straight into a fit recommendation, so you're not left guessing between "should I size up or down."
